About the event
We have scheduled our annual Adopt-a-Highway volunteer activity to cleanup of Highway 9 on Saturday morning September 19th. We are typically done by noon. Our section of highway stretches north from the Silverthorne Elks Lodge to the entrance of the TYL Ranch. It is a great way to enjoy the Fall colors, sunshine, get a little exercise, and give back to the community.
We will meet in the Elks Lodge parking lot at 9:00 am to divide up in teams. We typically separate into teams that start from the Elks Lodge and work north, and teams that work south from the TYL Ranch entrance. The most efficient staffing is to have people working simultaneously on both the east and west sides of the highway. Ideally, we will have 2-person teams working each section. If we have enough people, we can also start teams from the halfway point (Silverthorne Elementary).…
